Word up — We too should be asking in this way.

Matthew 14:28 Lord, if it’s you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.

This verse was spoken from a boat in a terrible storm by Peter who was looking at Jesus walking on water. Quite a scene if you ask me and quite a request. Peter, had already seen plenty of miracles at this point but here he’s asking for Jesus to perform yet another miracle that would enable Peter to walk on water.

I want to point out that Peter wasn’t satisfied with just being saved from the storm or he would’ve asked Jesus to just make the storm go away. No! he asked to walk on water in the middle of a storm as Jesus did. He wanted to be delivered from the storm with high expectations. W

No! he asked to walk on water in the middle of a storm as Jesus did. He wanted to be delivered from the storm with high expectations. We too should be asking in this way. Why? Well if Jesus delivered me from addiction and I did nothing but rest in my deliverance than what good would it be, what purpose would be in saving me.

The storm is just the beginning people. Think of the impact it made to the other disciples when Peter for that moment, walked on water. When and if you came to Christ it doesn’t stop at deliverance from whatever storm you were in or going thru. God wants you to walk on water out of those situations. . He wants you to ask for miracles. Don’t stop at being saved, ask each day for him to do something with your deliverance, although it was given to you freely…  it came with a cost.

Song of Solomon Study

This is the story of a young girl as she encounters sex, love, romance, marriage and relationship with a guy. She starts out thinking that maybe she is good looking and might be acceptable to a guy. She becomes strong and confident in who she is and in her ability to bring contentment to her husband. A major part of the book is written in her voice: What she says, what she thinks, what she hears him saying. This little book in the Bible can provide some powerful insights. Are you ready to give it a try? Study Song of Solomon
