Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us
The longer I’ve been a believer, the more I look at some people and think this or that person can’t be saved. That thought only adds to the fear I already have of reaching out to the lost. First I think, what would I say to this or that person and then I think is it even worth saying. I won’t candy coat it, it’s a lack of love, God’s love that surpasses all understanding, the love that he displayed on the cross. If I truly have love, I’ll find a way to talk to this or that person. Christ died for us while we were sinners, not while we were at church.
He took the most extreme measure while we were extreme sinners and I’m struggling with just trying to spark a little conversation. Take some time and think about this. Say it to yourself “While we were sinners, Christ died for us”. I don’t want to be preachy about it but just meditate on this today and let it minister to you. Pray for even the smallest act of love you can show someone. Rather it’s that hinky guy at the gas station or that family member that can’t be saved.
While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone. What an example! Let’s pray for each other that we can find courage to love on the lost in whatever capacity the spirit would have us do.
