Word up — Don’t under estimate what God is trying to do with you.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient with toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

As a believer most of us can recall a moment when we came to the Lord. Maybe it was a pastor somewhere giving a message about this great relationship in Jesus and him wanting to bless your life, forgiving you of all your sins, making all things new and giving to you that amazing gift of eternal life.

This verse is about the day of the Lord, his return, that’s the promise spoken of here. But it reads that he is patient toward us, not wishing any should perish. This means there’s something God is wanting to do with us before his return. But we’re saved right?

News flash! It’s not about us but at the same time it is. It’s not about us in the sense that we’re saved and hopefully ready for his return but let’s go back to the first paragraph. That pastor who gave the redeeming message, he was saved and ready but God was patient with him so he could reach you. God is being patient not only for our sake but the sake of those around us. Remember, we’re talking about eternity here. He loves us all and is not wishing that anyone should perish but that all would come to repentance.

God doesn’t just want to save you, he wants to save everyone and he’s chosen to use his people “US”. So, while we are waiting on the Lord, he’s waiting on us. You may not be the next pastor, but you may be just what someone needs in your house, the gym, your bible study, your church, wherever the lost are. God is being patient towards you to act out your faith for the sake of someone else’s eternity. Don’t under estimate what God is trying to do with you.

Pray about being used, I know everyone of us has someone in mind. Pray about your own walk and ask God to strengthen you so that your eternity is secure because in knowing that it will reflect on those around you. In a strange way our lack of sharing the gospel is prolonging his return. You are holding up Heaven for everyone. Don’t be the slacker on the team that everyone has to do laps around the track for.

Now go on…get!!!

This is the story of a young girl as she encounters sex, love, romance, marriage and relationship with a guy. She starts out thinking that maybe she is good looking and might be acceptable to a guy. She becomes strong and confident in who she is and in her ability to bring contentment to her husband.
