Word up –The one who took the nails is the one who’s plan prevails

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a mans heart, but it is the Lords purpose that prevails.

On a daily basis our brain in conjunction with our heart go thru a storm of ideas, dreams, what if’s, did I leave the iron on?, do I even have an iron? and then the storm calms a bit and we start to plan… plan our day, week, month or whatever. Well here’s some news.

The bad news first, the bible says our hearts are evil and desperately wicked. The good news is the bible also says speaking of King David that he was a man after God’s own heart. That’s quite a title! So these many plans in our heart… how can we be sure they are of the Lords purpose because this verse clearly states that only the Lords purpose will prevail. How can we plan with purpose if our hearts are evil and desperately wicked.

I suggest daily purification. Although we have been saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus we still constantly confront things, see things, experience things and act out things that can stir stuff up inside us specifically the wicked heart. If we are not seeking the Lord early each day our hearts, by default, start planning without him…  Once that happens, we plan not to talk to someone we are mad at, we plan not to go to bible study because we need to be entertained instead, we plan to satisfy our passions whatever they might be. God is not a party pooper nor a buzz killer, the bible says his plans for us are good and he created good so don’t think you know something better.

So… I just want to encourage you to protect your investment of time when planning by first setting your hearts, your minds and your strength on Jesus so that you may partake in the Lords prevailing purpose for your life and those around you. The one who took the nails is the one who’s plan prevails. Yes I just made that up right now and that’s definitely a keeper:) I think I’ll post that on facebook right now!

Song of Solomon Study

This is the story of a young girl as she encounters sex, love, romance, marriage and relationship with a guy. She starts out thinking that maybe she is good looking and might be acceptable to a guy. She becomes strong and confident in who she is and in her ability to bring contentment to her husband. A major part of the book is written in her voice: What she says, what she thinks, what she hears him saying. This little book in the Bible can provide some powerful insights. Are you ready to give it a try? Study Song of Solomon
