Show yourself in all respects a model of good deeds, and in your teaching show integrity, gravity, and sound speech that cannot be censured, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say of us.
Titus 2:7-8 RSV
This is a Tim Tebow verse. He goes out and plays hard, then says things with integrity and sound speech. His opponents have trouble saying anything evil about him. They still say stuff — he doesn’t fit the profile for a quarterback, his spiral isn’t tight enough, he does that thing where he goes down on one knee and puts his elbow on the knee and his head down on his hand. The can’t come up with much to say about it — not after you see all the guys do their superman act, or pound on their chest showing how great they think they are.
Do good things, say things that are sound and true. It will encourage your friends and drive your enemies up the wall as they try to say something bad about you.
